Amerikan müzik endüstrisinin önde gelen yapımcı ve sanatçılarından Lucious Lyon, ALS hastalığı sebebiyle ölümünün yaklaştığını öğrenir ve sıfırdan yarattığı şirketi Empire'ın kaderini teslim etmek üzere üç oğlunu rekabete yöneltir.
